If you have had a chance to visit my wife’s portion of this web site, you can see that she is more than just an accomplished artist. I’m not anywhere near that class, but I can fabricate.
The windows that follow took me seven years to put together. I wanted to honor my wife and two daughters. (For my only son, so far, I have not come up anything to honor him with, BUT, I am working on it.)
Each window has over 2100 pieces of colored glass. Each is 40 inches wide and 60 inches tall. The design I had long in my head, but I managed to talk a wonderful artist, Becky Fletcher into helping me get it out of my head and onto paper.
Becky was the only person that I could find that can paint on glass photographically. I wanted no doubt in the onlooker’s eye as to who the images were. To get there, Becky had to paint and kiln fire each piece 12 times.
